About the Employer

Stockport NHS Foundation Trust provides healthcare services in the Stockport community and is one of its largest employers. The role is based on Ward C6, a 23-bed general medical ward at Stepping Hill Hospital.

Job Responsibilities

• Provide high quality effective individualised care that is compassionate and caring
• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate care without supervision
• Keep up to date with skills and knowledge and comply with NMC professional registration
• Ensure safe administration of drugs in accordance with NMC and local policies
• Keep accurate records in accordance with trust policy and NMC guidelines
• Carry out nursing procedures and techniques in accordance with agreed policies and standards
• Undertake regular mandatory training

Requirements

• Current 1st level Registration with the NMC
• Experience of working in clinical areas and delivering patient care
• Computer literacy
• Effective time management, ability to work under pressure and in a team, use own initiative and problem solve
• Attention to detail, awareness of patient dignity and respect, and effective communication
• Desirable: evidence of continuing professional development and experience of supervising others
