University Hospitals of North Midlands NHS Trust is one of the largest and most modern in the country, serving around three million people across Royal Stoke and County Hospital sites. It is the specialist centre for major trauma for the North Midlands and North Wales.

Job Responsibilities

• Perform initial assessment of patients and provide effective care pathways
• Work as part of a multidisciplinary team on the Medical SDEC unit
• Rotate across trolley bays, side rooms and ambulatory areas
• Support development of new ways of working aligned with trust values
• Work 12-hour shifts over 7 days including weekends and public holidays

Requirements

• Essential: Registered nurse on the NMC professional register
• Experience as a student or registered nurse in an acute hospital setting
• Excellent communication skills and evidence of nursing skills for acute medical care
• Desirable: Previous experience in an AMU
