Job Responsibilities
- Responsible for the initial assessment of patients and providing an effective care pathway
- Play a vital part in developing new ways of working to improve quality and patient experience
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team on the New Medical SDEC unit
- Flexible to the demands of the service including 12-hour shifts over 7 days
- Supported by practice education and senior team with supernumerary time and local induction
Requirements
- Registered nurse on the NMC professional register
- Experience as a student or registered nurse in an acute hospital setting
- Excellent communication skills
- Evidence of nursing skills to perform a role as an acute medical nurse
- Desirable: Previous experience in a AMU as a student or registered nurse
