About the Employer

The Hillingdon Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is the only acute hospital in the London Borough of Hillingdon. It provides accident and emergency, inpatient care, day surgery, outpatient clinics and maternity services, and is focused on safe, high-quality care.

Job Responsibilities

• Participate in all ward activities as an effective team member, supporting senior staff
• Assess care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care with the multidisciplinary team
• Provide holistic treatment and care to patients on the 30-bedded acute surgical ward
• Teach and supervise qualified and unqualified staff and act as a role model
• Maintain individual patient care plans and ensure nutritional and personal hygiene needs are met
• Adhere to infection control policies and communicate effectively with patients, relatives and the team

Requirements

• Registered General Nurse with current UK professional registration
• Appropriate verbal and written English language skills
• Experience working in a general surgical or orthopaedic ward or acute healthcare environment
• At least 1 year relevant experience preferred
