Job Responsibilities
- Scrub and circulate for cardiac catheter lab procedures including angiography, angioplasty, electrophysiology and TAVI
- Support recovery of adult and paediatric patients after procedures under general or local anaesthetic
- Promote high standards of nursing care and multi-disciplinary working
- Assist with throughput of elective, inpatient and emergency cases
- Participate in the on-call rota once trained for out-of-hours emergencies
- Complete competencies after an initial supernumerary period of up to 12 weeks
Requirements
- Qualified Nurse (Degree or Diploma)
- Registered nurse on the appropriate part of the NMC register
- Knowledge of current issues in acute health services
- Understanding of personal accountability and infection control responsibilities
- Evidence of ongoing personal development
- Desirable: previous experience in relevant specialty or teaching experience
