About the Employer
Golden Eagle Farm Group operates farms in Pitt Meadows, BC, specialising in blueberry and field berry production. The workplace is in a rural, remote area with staff accommodation available and provided on site.
Job Responsibilities
- Apply fertilizers and cultivate crops
- Clean crops and clear fields of wood, stones, and debris
- Cut, pick, and harvest blueberries and other field berries
- Grade, sort, and pack fruits and vegetables
- Operate and maintain farm machinery including tractors, forklifts, and harvesters
- Monitor water lines, air flow, and temperature in barns
- Perform weeding, greenhouse cleaning, and general farm maintenance
Requirements
- No degree, certificate or diploma required
- Experience an asset, particularly with farm equipment
- English language proficiency
- Ability to perform physically demanding work including repetitive tasks, handling heavy loads, standing for extended periods, bending, crouching, and kneeling
- Flexibility and ability to work as part of a team
