About the Employer

PBF Pita Bread Factory Ltd is a large-volume bakery in Burnaby producing ethnic breads, pita, tortillas and naan. It is a division of Rise Baking Company and supplies products across Canada, the United States and Hong Kong.

Job Responsibilities

• Detect and troubleshoot irregularities and malfunctions in machinery
• Repair or replace defective machinery parts
• Fabricate parts required during overhaul, maintenance or set-up
• Perform routine maintenance work on machinery
• Install machinery and equipment
• Program programmable logic controllers (PLCs)
• Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Requirements

• Other trades certificate or diploma or equivalent experience
• 5 years or more experience
• Industrial Mechanic (Millwright) Trade Certification preferred
• Construction Millwright Trade Certification preferred
• Experience with welding techniques including FCAW, conveyors and mechanical instruments
